Thursday 25th - ANZAC day
So we had to pack up and leave the great Quinninup caravan park. The "up" part in all these names means "the place of" then the first part of the name tells you what is there. I don't know Qinnin but one place meant eatable reeds!
Tim never liked Father Christmas!
This was the friendliest kangaroo there that you could pat.
This emu is a young one that is way too confident with people and would try to get into peoples caravans so it was locked up and was going to have to be relocated.
The number of kangaroos was amazing. You couldn't pat them but they would watch you as they were grazing around the park. At night walking to the toilets you would have to be careful you didn't bump into one as they seemed a lot more relaxed then and wouldn't moved out of your way.
So we left that all behind and due to my tooth, or lack of one, we headed north instead of west.
Wood is an easy material to come by and they have signs into the towns made out of these massive tree trunks!
As we came into Donnybrook our car errupted with squeels, pointing, jumping as their eyes beheld the biggest playground they had seen yet. The parents moaned as there was not an inch of room on there as it was ANZAC day and school holidays!
Along with the huge playground which was just across the road from where we were staying it is the home of apple orchards, and Ethan thought it was close to what heaven would be like. He loves his apples!
