Casaurina

Sunday 30th
We headed out to Darwin C3 church. The kids again loved kids church as they had a bouncy castle after for them. We then headed to Casaurina shopping centre for lunch and a bit of shopping. After we ate lunch we headed up the escalator and as we did I caught sight of Manning out the corner of my eye standing up from bending over a big red stop button. His arm was straight and finger pointed as he came back up to upright position! My mind had two thoughts. "I hope he didn't press that" & "If he touched that I hope it does nothing and the escalator keeps going". Well we continued on and gradually the escalator came to a stop. Now what added to this problem was that half way up was a trolley guy with 10 trolleys on and he said to the lady behind."You are going to have to turn around as these trolleys are stuck on here. " So we turned around, I nicely told Manning not to touch anymore buttons and we headed towards the stairs. As we got up the stairs we had to walk past the escalator up the top and there were two other trolley guys all helping lift off the trolleys one at a time! Finally a security guard came along and with a turn of his key got the thing moving again. We moved off and blended into the crowd!
Now the big day up here is July the 1st with fireworks day and for the last week there had been signs everywhere advertising fireworks for sale.

I had to take a photo of this as it was a huge sign in the shopping centre. Behind is the escalator that Manning stopped and below is the food court.  We are starting to know our way around here.
