Tim's back!

Wednesday 3rd
Tim got on the plane 9pm Tuesday night then was due in Darwin at 5:30am this morning. He didn't get much sleep all night as  a lot of time was spent in the Melbourne airport. He gave me a text at 5:30am to say he was in and that the pilot told him it was 10C in Darwin at that time, which was quite cool for here. That didn't last long as the weather has been a lovely 30C most of the days. So everyone jumped out of bed when I woke them to go get Tim and were very excited to see him. We drove him back to the caravan and put him to bed and we headed off to check out the Palmerston library. The kids were a little disappointed as there was a wii but you had to be a library member to use it but I thought that reading books on some comfy chairs sounded a nice idea. We soon were all gathered around a book and time went very quickly.
This tank was near where we parked our car.

In the afternoon we took Tim to see Berry Springs and this time we took noodles that we had bought on Sunday. The pools don't have very many places where you can touch the bottom so they kids got worn out last time but with the noodles they were able to float around a lot easier. They used them as water cannons so we just had to watch out that they didn't shoot any strangers!!!

This is the water way between the warm waterfalls and the middle pool. You have to be careful as there are big rocks under the water that you can't see.
This is the middle pool. Nice and big and a perfect temperature.
Zane at the steps.
Manning at the steps.
Everyone relaxing!
As we were driving home from shopping the day before we came across burning on the side of the road and it was very smoky and a little hot as we drove past it. The grass really gets the fire going, so it is nice to know that the cfs around here is very much watching out for fires. There has been a few since the fireworks and they light up the sky at night like a brilliant sunset. They are quickly put out.
