Tuesday 2nd
We have been on the road for 3 months now as we left Karcultaby on April 2nd. So this is a good half way stop, to fix, clean and organise ready to start again.
School work in the morning.
This is out the back of our site and where the kids do their work before it gets too hot. In the shade of the palms.
Our neighbours here gave the kids a coconut and even though none of them really like the taste of them they all wanted a go at getting it open.
They are real natives, Josiah egging them on, Ethan with the pocket knife and Kimberly is sure that the hammer is the way to go, on my table!!!!!!
Kimberly trying the coconut milk and Josiah carefully observing before declining a try himself.
In the afternoon we went shopping and the kids were a great help. We get our 2 trolleys full and packing in the car is a team effort. Ethan got on the roof of the car and opened the containers. Kimberly stood on the spare tyre and Baylee passed from the trolley to Kimberly then onto Ethan. Nothing got broken and I quickly went around putting the bread in the car as that would of ended up as flat wraps on top. Also the fruit and veg went in the car as toss salad and fruit salad was not on the menu!!! But it all went well and after the kids did a lot of cleaning, working very hard for money to spend on lego, we were really ready for Tim to come home.
